Beach Blanket Babylon is a bar and restaurant situated in the heart of Notting Hill in amongst the chic boutiques of Ledbury Road. Having played host to some wonderful events over our 21 years, famed for our opulent glamour and unique environment, we remain a top destination the world over.
Beach Blanket Babylon can play host to any number of different festive occasions, from cocktail receptions for 120 guests to imitate dinners for 20. We welcome all enquiries and our team is always happy to work with you to create the perfect environment for that you envisage your guests.
Our venue comprises of a warm and welcoming ground floor bar, a restaurant uniquely split across three floors, and a private room situated on the first floor which is only accessible to the hosts hiring.
The Bar
The bar is the perfect choice for large parties looking for an Opulent setting with electric environment for festive celebrations. Smaller groups are also welcome to choose a cosy corner near a fireplace or a sofa to recline on and admire the view.
Choose from our extensive selection of Champagnes, wines and cocktails to welcome, then accompany with a selection of seasonal bar platters or Canapés for a lighter bite.
The Chapel
The Chapel remains the Jewel of the restaurant and one of our most requested areas. Regally set apart from the ground floor accessible via footsteps, this rounded room can seat up to 37 guests for dinner. Groups of up to 25 guests can dine together on a long curved table which dominates the space, while the banquet seating at the rear of the room can seat 10 guests. This room can be hired exclusively for dining also.

The Gallery
A hidden gem situated in the middle floor of the restaurant, The Gallery has a number of smaller tables of 4 for intimate dining, or we can assemble two long tables of 14 each.

The Crypt
The Crypt is a cave of enchantment situated at the lowest level of the restaurant entered by an archway through the Gallery. This multi functional area can seat large groups for dining of up to 38 in a ‘C’ shape seating, medium size tables of 8 guests plus, and also small tables of 2 or 4.

The Ballroom
The piece de renaissance of Beach Blanket Babylon is the Ballroom. Situated on the private first floor with access only via which a secret staircase this room can seat up to 60 guests for dining and 120 for cocktail parties. The room also houses a reception room and private bar joined to the main room via interconnecting doors. The Ballroom regarded as one of Notting Hill’s best kept secrets by the crème de la crème of London when looking for an unforgettable event location.

Opening hours: Every day from 12 midday to 12 midnight
Entertainment: We have an in house DJ Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the bar playing an eclectic mix to retro cool mixed with a wide range of today’s artists. The Ballroom is fitted with a Bang and olufsen sound system which can play CDs or guests can connect an iPod or Mac too. Acoustic entertainment is permitted is this room, no DJs or electric live music.
